What Makes Moyno Pumps Different?

Moyno

Mark Yingling and Jeff Zook of Moyno discuss the variation and advantages of the company’s product line for wastewater handling and treatment.

The following is an excerpt from a Q&A with Water Online Radio. Click on the Radio Player above to hear the full interview.

Water Online Radio: What makes your pumps different for [the wastewater] industry?

Mark: It is really the design. We have a whole shop design that allows it to have less loads on the bearings, shorter footprint, and we can handle the solids.  We have anything from low solids all the way up to the water sludge that has basically no free water in it at all.

Jeff: If you look at other pump technologies, our initial capital investment cost compared to what you have to pay to get the other technologies – just let us say for piston pumps, for example – a progressive cavity pump has a much lower initial investment cost.

You are getting the same or better performance, but the capital required to get that is much less for municipalities.

Water Online Radio: Mark, go deeper into some of your products for the municipal wastewater market.

Mark: We have everything from light solid transfer pumps, all the way up through the water sludge pumps. We have a grinder line where we do grinding in the influent lines, and then we have a mixer line where we are doing a ragless mixer technology.

So all the way through, we have products that we really can use at every step in the wastewater process.
