Surplus Beer's Silver Lining: Boosting Biogas Production

While COVID is wreaking havoc on the beer industry across the world, some water utilities are making the best of things by turning the excess suds into supercharged biogas producers.

In Australia, where the lockdown forced bars and restaurants to shutter in March, CNN reports that massive inventories of stale ales and lagers are being used to power the Glenelg Wastewater Treatment Plant.
