Skid-Mounted Aeration Systems: One Solution For Different Problems

Wet Installed Removable Slot Injector™ Aeration System being Dropped-In_
To enable uninterrupted operation of an aeration tank, KLa Systems designed a skid-mounted “drop-in” solution featuring Slot Injector™ aerators, providing additional oxygenation capacity to a conventional jet aeration system.

Sometimes, industrial plants employing aeration treatment as part of a biological wastewater treatment process need additional oxygen capacity in a hurry. This might occur due to a temporary change to a plant’s loading, sending oxygen demand abruptly higher. Another scenario is during seasonal transitions, such as winter to spring, when aeration basin temperatures begin to rise, affecting dissolved oxygen capacity. At higher temperatures, water has a lower capacity for holding dissolved oxygen and microbial activity increases, requiring plants to boost their oxygen transfer. Other situations may apply, but for many processing plants, shutting down a basin to install equipment for additional capacity — resulting in costly aeration tank downtime — is not a feasible option.
