Pureflow Filtration Division Capabilities Brochure

Source: Pureflow Filtration Division

The Pureflow® Filtration Division of California Environmental Controls, Inc. was founded in 1973 when we designed and sold our first Iron and Manganese pressure filtration system to the City of Fillmore, CA. This project introduced the Pureflow® process that included pretreatment with Chlorine gas and Sulfur Dioxide gas. Each chemical addition was followed by a one (1) minute mixing / reaction vessel and then by a pressure filter that included our PM-100 proprietary, highly adsorptive catalytic media. Chlorine gas was fed to oxidize Iron and Manganese, as well as other contaminants such as Hydrogen Sulfide, organic carbons, Ammonia, etc. Sulfur Dioxide gas was fed to prevent the formation of polysulfides and to enhance the treatment of taste / odor problems associated with Hydrogen Sulfide. Other oxidants such as Sodium Hypochlorite can be used in place of Chlorine gas, and Sodium Bisulfite can be used to replace Sulfur Dioxide gas. Various proprietary and standard media combinations are available depending on raw water quality parameters.

Pureflow works closely with municipal and consulting engineers to design, specify, and manufacture water treatment processes that meet and exceed W.H.O., E.P.A., and State Department of Health Standards.
