It rains, it pours. And when it pours, our cities produce what is called stormwater runoff. Stormwater runoff is what happens when rain falls on roads, driveways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces that do not allow water to soak into the ground.

Due to this challenge, the risk of flood is heightened. We care for our cities, our homes, and our communities; Of course, we don’t want to see them flooded. To mitigate the risk of flooding (and prevent flood when possible), it’s best to create a sustainable, environmentally-sensitive drainage design which mimics the natural hydrology of a developed site. By doing this, we’re better able to plan ahead and prepare for stormwater runoff and its effects that could lead to flood.
