  • Complete Blower Package Results In Quiet Operation, Easy Maintenance

Until 2012, the Kaufman, TX, Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operated two separate aeration basins with mechanical surface aerators. As the plant’s equipment aged and required more frequent and expensive repairs and maintenance, the City of Kaufman followed its engineering firm’s recommendation to install a new, more efficient, fine bubble-diffused air system rather than simply replacing its old mixers with in-kind equipment.

  • Applying Variable Speed Compressors In Multiple Compressor Applications
    8/23/2021

Variable speed control for all types of industrial equipment is readily available on the market with competitive pricing to non-variable speed controlled alternatives, including in the air compressor industry. With the advent of prescriptive rebate programs for variable speed compressors and other equipment, the demand for these types of controls has increased.

  • Freeport Wastewater Treatment Plant Saves Money And Energy With Hybrid Blowers
    9/30/2013

Best known as the home of outdoor retailer L.L. Bean, the community of Freeport is a popular summer destination on the shore of Casco Bay in southern coastal Maine. In 2010, the Freeport Sewer District brought in engineering firm Woodard & Curran (also of Freeport), to conduct an energy analysis of the Freeport Wastewater Treatment Facility. The assessment revealed that the Freeport plant consumed more than 8.9 kBtu per gallon of wastewater treated, more than double the national average of 4.1 kBtu per gallon. While an outdated oil heating system contributed to the overall inefficiency, the plant’s 30-year-old multistage centrifugal aeration blowers accounted for as much as 80 percent of the electricity consumption. • Repair Or Rethink
    8/7/2015

The Moundsville Wastewater Treatment Plant in West Virginia chooses not to fix a broken blower unit, but rather to correct an outdated approach. The result is a savings of $50-60K a year in energy costs.

  • How To Choose The Right Aeration Blower System For Your Wastewater Treatment Plant
    3/4/2013

By comparing four types of aeration blowers designed specifically for wastewater treatment, this white paper educates engineers on how to develop a selection process best suited for their operation. The paper focuses on minimizing energy consumption and total cost of ownership of the aeration blower system. Download this white paper for a detailed comparison of real operating data on aeration blower technology.

WASTEWATER BLOWER PRODUCTS

AERZEN MultiCore series turbo blowers allow for a wide range of operation with airflow delivery of 15000 cfm and above. With over 6 to 1 turndown utilizing multiple cores, the AERZEN MultiCore series provides flexibility to users needing a wide range of flows. AERZEN MultiCore Turbo blowers utilize one user interface and come standard with one discharge connection allowing the easiest installation and operation of its kind. This addition to the Aerzen Turbo product line allows for efficient operation with largest volume airflow delivery which once again allows AERZEN customers to expect performance.

The Hoffman Revolution is the world’s most advanced blower energy management system. The culmination of blower design and leadership delivers a new standard in efficiency and environmental protection. The first high speed centrifugal in its class—designed, built, and tested in the United States of America. Through advanced technologies, the Revolution delivers up to 45% energy savings, provides increased reliability with little or no maintenance, and comes factory prewired and tested in an ergonomically designed sound enclosure for plug-and-play operation.

Long-lasting performance, and the highest oxygen-transfer rates of any mechanical aeration system on the market.

The Generation 5 Delta Blower offers considerable sound reductions, so expensive measures such as special acoustic hoods are no longer required.

System controls are critical to a wastewater blower system. Without them, a system with multiple blowers operating on their individual controls will run more than necessary and result in wasted energy. Maintenance costs increase and worst of all: process performance suffers.

A flexible solution for all your low-pressure and vacuum applications
Robust ZM oil-free multistage centrifugal blowers and exhausters provide you with the air or gas, pressure or vacuum you need at low maintenance costs.

The groundbreaking Delta Hybrid Rotary Lobe Compressor is the result of a synergy between the rotary lobe blower and the screw compressor technologies and offers completely new possibilities by combining the technical advantages of both concepts.

What is a rotary screw blower?
Screw compressors delivering compressed air below 1.5 bar(g) are referred to as (rotary) screw blowers. The working principles of a screw blower are thus identical to those of a rotary screw compressor.
