Landa unveils service-friendly modifications to recycling system
The changes are a result of feedback from customers and Landa service centers. Among the alterations to the CLP systems, which have been the foundation of Landa's environmental equipment lines, are:
- Moving the control panels to a more accessible position by operators and service technicians;
- Pumps repositioned to accommodate easier access;
- Larger cartridge filters to reduce the frequency of maintenance;
- All filters moved to the edge of the self-contained platform for convenient access;
- Flow meters and gauges positioned for easier monitoring by operators;
- Water solenoid valves placed in an unobstructed position; and
- A hand service shelf installed for service technician convenience.
The CLP (an abbreviation for "Clarifier Low Profile") offers a blend of the most unique and popular features found in Landa's other lines of water/oil separation, wash-water filtration systems.
For instance, the CLP models, which handle wastewater flows of up to 40 gallons per minute, feature:
- a raised, solids-separation tank for above-ground handling of heavy dirt loads in a wash operation, thus reducing the risk of undetected leaks and avoiding the high cost of below-ground pits;
- a system that is self-contained on a painted steel platform making installation remarkably simple and quick;
- above-ground, steep-pitch sludge disposal for user-friendly handling of solid residue;
- filters that are easily backwashed or cleaned for reuse and lower operational and maintenance costs;
- a unique, steep-pitched, cone-shape coalescing pack in the clarifier tank for optimum separation of oil and solids from the wastewater; and
- a chemical monitoring and injection system for introducing flocculates and other chemicals to further enhance the CLP's cleaning capabilities.
The Landa CLP systems are most commonly used in high-pressure washing operations where there is a high level of dirt and other solids in the wash water, such as truck and equipment maintenance shops, rental yards, solid waste hauling facilities, auto details shops, heavy equipment wash sites, golf course wash stations, and even manufacturing operations.
Landa, which is located in Camas, Washington, just north of Portland, Oregon, has been a leader in the pressure washer industry since 1969. In 1989, Landa became the first pressure washer manufacturer to develop a wash-water treatment system. Since then thousands of Landa wash-water treatment systems have been installed.
Landa also has the world's largest line of hot- and cold-water pressure washers, as well as an extensive line of automatic aqueous parts washers and industrial wastewater evaporators.
