Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies has developed a unique, advanced process to treat wastewater streams generated from coating operations at metal processing facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, and mining operations. The wastewater will contain chrome, nickel, zinc, and other metals that must be removed prior to disposal or reuse.
Utilizing CeraMem ceramic membrane technology, the removal of heavy metals, as well as oils/greases and solids from the wastewater is performed in a single process. The ultrafiltration (UF) system, part of complete wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), provides a robust, efficient process to produce a high-quality effluent suitable for reuse or direct disposal.
Key System Features
- CeraMem UF membranes act as an absolute barrier to oils, suspended solids, and precipitated metals
- Process combines oil, suspended solids, and metals removal into a single system in a compact footprint
- Produces reliable, high-quality effluent regardless of influent upsets
- Fully automated process, requiring minimal staffing

WWTP Process Equipment
- FMS-Series pre-engineered membrane rack systems with CeraMem ceramic membranes
- Reactor tanks and dosing station
- Clean-in-Place (CIP) system
- Backflush system
- Filter Press
