The 4600 series Air-Mixer represents the evolution of a proven design into a new product with additional benefits. We introduced the first submersible mixer in 1977, which truly revolutionized the industry. Since then, a second generation of these remarkable machines has fully established itself as the most efficient, cost effective method for heavy duty mixing. The Flygt 4600 series submersible mixers provide an unparalleled degree of reliability, efficiency and flexibility of operation. Now Flygt combines the powerful jet-mixing of the 4600 series mixers with the added benefits of oxygen transfer, to enhance the gas-liquid contact needed in many wastewater treatment processes. Four models are available in a range of 7.5 HP to 40 HP with propeller speeds of 580 RPM (models 4650, 4660) and 440 RPM (models 4670, 4680). These remarkably compact units are easily installed and will accommodate varying sizes and shapes of most tanks, basins and lagoons. The patented aerating design provides uniform mixing over a broad range of airflow rates.
