Neptune Benson / ETS-UV is a pioneer in the design and engineering of ultraviolet disinfection systems. We have proven success with a range of compact, closed vessel UV disinfection systems for the treatment of a variety of water and wastewater streams.

ETS-UV is an expert in the application of UV light. By offering both medium and low pressure amalgam lamp technologies, ETS provides cost-effective, tailored solutions for a variety of wastewater applications. Manufacturing experience allows ETS sytems to be designed and manufactured for use within Class 1 and 2 hazardous areas.

Most recently, ETS has attained NSF/ANSI Standard 61 Certification for the ultraviolet drinking water systems. This standard, for example ensures that the UV light does not degrade components used within the products. Plastics degrade under UV light and would be unlikely to attain NSF-61.

From only a few GPM to full-scale water treatment plants treating flows of 30 MGD in a single chamber, ETS can provide effective solutions for any specification or location. All systems are independently, third party validated in accordance with the US EPA guidelines for drinking water, or the NWRI guidelines for reuse water.

The ETS Ultraviolet Disinfection System is perfect for:

  • Drinking Water
  • Wastewater Treatment
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Petrochemical
  • Food & Beverage
  • Pulp & Paper
  • Aquaculture
  • Pool Disinfection

Drawing on 25 years of industry experience, ETS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Neptune-Benson.

The ETS range of drinking water UV systems are modeled using CFD and FEA emulation tools and have been independently validated to demonstrate performance under a variety of operating conditions.

UV has made tremendous gains in the last 25 years, and is now recognized as a primary method of disinfecting wastewater. All of the typical wastewater organisms are rendered nonviable by a correct dose of UV light; ETS maintains comprehensive databases of organisms and the amount of UV required to achieve 1, 2, 3 or higher log removals to meet and exceed a discharge permit.

Waterborne microorganisms are responsible for adverse effects on the flavor, color, odor, and shelf life of soft drinks, bottled water and food products. It is therefore the fundamental objective of food and beverage manufacturers to eliminate spoilage and pathogenic microorganisms from process water, product water, and sugar solutions to overcome this problem.
