The following is a short excerpt from a live Q&A with Water Online Radio. To hear the full interview, click on the Radio Player above.

Water Online Radio: The Water Online audience wants to hear about the Roytronic Excel. Tell us about that product.

Joseph: Roytronic is a new generation metering pump. Roytronic stands for Milton Roy Liquid Metronics. It's kind of a merger of two names. Roytronic Excel is a new generation, totally digital pump. The pump is a response to the latest automation trends and requirements of the markets.

Water Online Radio: Who should be looking at the Roytronic Excel? What's the sweet spot in terms of applying that technology?

Joseph: If you need to monitor flow, alarms, performance of the pump, etc., the Excel is the pump for that particular market. A bunch of OEMs might be using this pump in the higher automation requirements.

Taseen: The pump itself has fully integrated control systems, so you don't have to go in and get a separate package control system and marry the pump to it. You have all of the controls required to communicate with plant PLC. It can be done within the pump. It's fully integrated and it has all the analog outputs, analog inputs, and digital I/Os that are typically called about by an engineer or an owner to operate that pump absolutely hands-free.
