Guy Carpenter Joins aquaTECTURE As Senior VP, Strategic Operations

Los Angeles – The Board of Directors of aquaTECTURE is pleased to announce that Guy W. Carpenter has been named Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations, effective June 1, 2016. Carpenter will lead the strategic growth of all of aquaTECTURE’s business units, as well as business operations and execution of strategic initiatives. Carpenter is a seasoned water executive with more than 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, with a broad range of expertise that includes water resources, wastewater, and recycled water consulting and master planning, regulatory issues, policy development and executive management.

Los Angeles-based aquaTECTURE is rapidly building a reputation for forward-thinking technology and innovation. The privately-held company is involved in a variety of development, design/build and own and operate projects in the commercial, industrial, urban, public and municipal sectors. It is also actively involved in the creation and/or acquisition of highly innovative water technology companies.

Carpenter comes to aquaTECTURE from Carollo Engineers, the country’s largest engineering firm dedicated solely to water. His experience includes operations, capital project budgeting and management, decision support, management consulting, system evaluations, water resource development support, water rights negotiations and valuations, water resource accounting and management, and permitting. He also currently serves as President of the WateReuse Association and is an elected board member of the Central Arizona Project, which delivers Colorado River water to the three-county area in Arizona where 85% of the state's population resides.

Carollo is an 850-person consulting engineering firm focused solely on water and wastewater. As one of 90 shareholders of the firm, Guy provided leadership in the areas of strategy, marketing, advertising, technical competency, and quality control for the Water Reuse Technical Practice. Guy supported Client Service Managers (CSMs) throughout the company in the delivery of technical expertise and business development services, and served as CSM for assigned clients to meet whatever water/wastewater needs they had through leveraging the expertise of other practice groups within the firm. Mr. Carpenter managed research, planning, and design projects, prepared annual practice group budget for board approval and mentored and trained staff by matching their strengths and interests with the needs of the firm.

Responsible for nationwide business and technical development and client management in the area of water reclamation, reuse, and recycling for HDR Engineering, an employee-owned Architecture and Engineering firm with over 6,200 employees and 140 offices nationwide.
