Like reverse osmosis units, our ultrafiltration systems revolve around a generic skid design that can accommodate several types of modules. This skid provides the opportunity to take advantage of a much wider current, and future ultrafiltration market spectrum during the project evaluation phase. Changing module supplier goes from very complicated and onerous, to something easily managed and economical. It also provides significant negotiating power to the owner for the initial membrane purchase, and future membrane replacement, through a facilitated competition for the module supply – similar to reverse osmosis plants. This added flexibility in design and operation provides substantial value to engineers and customers.
