UVSI Adds Dr. Bertrand Dussert To Its Expert Advisory Board

San Diego, CA - Ultraviolet Sciences Inc. (UVSI), manufacturer of a new generation of innovative UV water treatment solutions, welcomes Dr. Bertrand Dussert to the UVSI Advisory Board. Dr. Dussert is the founder and president of Dussert Consulting, LLC, a company offering consulting services in the water treatment arena. Dr. Dussert is a water and wastewater treatment expert with over twenty years of experience. He has extensive expertise in water treatment technologies including ultraviolet (UV) disinfection , and advanced oxidation processes (AOPs). He is first-named inventor or co-inventor of five patents and is the author of over 50 technical papers. He is currently President of the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA), and has served on the Board of Directors since 2001. Dr. Dussert is also an Adjunct Professor of wastewater treatment & engineering for the graduate program in the Department of Earth & Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA). Dr. Dussert will provide his industry expertise to guide the strategic planning at UVSI.

Dr. Bertrand Dussert has a M.S. in Chemistry from Université Claude Bernard, Lyon 1 (France), and completed his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the Institute National des Sciences Appliquees de Toulouse (France). He joins three other distinguished board members: Dr. Karl H. Schoenbach, an expert in gas discharge physics, Dr. Kathleen M. Trauth, P.E., an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Missouri, and Mr. Paul O'Callaghan, founder and CEO of O2 Environmental Inc.
