Stockholm Water Prize Winner To Give Keynote At IWA's Leading Edge Technology Conference

A signature conference of the IWA, the Leading edge Technology (LET) Conference series (www.eawag.ch/let2008), brings together researchers and practitioners worldwide in a forum that makes it possible for delegates to learn about the leading-edge trends in water and wastewater technology from the world leaders in the water industry and network with those same world leaders.

The LET programme is developed around emerging issues and the outstanding quality of its speakers. The themes are chosen because they define where water and wastewater technology is heading and needs to head. The speakers are the acknowledged world leaders who are "making it happen" and can tell their stories with authority, skill, and passion.

This year proves as scintillating a technical programme as ever with Keynote speeches from Stockholm Water Prize Winner, Peter Wilderer and Alexander Zehnder. Peter Wilderer will be discussing the growing importance of integrating water and wastewater, while Alexander Zehnder will be talking about the need to take into consideration virtual water and water management.

The conference will place a strong emphasis on technological advancements that allow our profession to capture as much of the resource value of wastewater as possible. Delegates will be able to learn about the leading-edge trends in capturing the value of wastewater in terms of its H2O, its energy and its nutrients.

Other highlights include a round table discussion where leaders from the water industry such as Glen Daigger, Chief Technology Officer from CH2M Hill and Terry Johnson, Global Technology Officer at Black & Veatch will be debating "Water Technology has become an attractive investment theme for the financial industry - curse or blessing?"

Registration is now open and delegates can register at (www.eawag.ch/let2008)
