Overcoming The Global Water Crisis: A Focus On Wastewater Recycling & Water Reuse
2/1/2021
While it is true that more than half of our planet’s surface is covered in water, a vast majority of it is saline. Fresh water, the water we use in hundreds of ways every day, constitutes only 2.5 % of all the water on the Earth. Today, the world faces what is known as the water crisis. Parts of the world do not have access to this most vital resource on the planet. Therefore, a focus on water recycling and water reuse is required to optimize the use of our critical water resources.

4 Benefits Of Sodium Zeolite For Drinking Water Treatment
2/1/2021
Drinking water treatment systems have little room for error after treatment at the risk of public health. Use of treatment systems that effectively target and treat toxic and undesirable contaminants is essential to drinking water production. There are typically four stages in a standard drinking water treatment system process, coagulation/flocculation, sedimentation/clarification, filtration and disinfection. Sodium zeolite is typically utilized in the filtration systems within the filtration stage for optimal treatment performance.

Refinery Wastewater: Benefits Of Remediation By Electrocoagulation
2/1/2021
Crude oil is a fossil fuel formed from long-dead organisms subjected to intense heat and pressure underground. This resource is the main ingredient in the production of gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants, kerosene, propane, and asphalt. All of these products can be made in a single refinery through a complex branching series of chemical processes. The central refining process is atmospheric distillation whereby the crude oil is fractured into different components based on their differing boiling points. Each of these fractions will be sent along to separate process to be turned into the different oil products. Therefore, remediation of refinery wastewater from these different processes can be quite complex.

Optimal Ultrafiltration Uses For Beverage Dairy Companies
2/1/2021
When you’re sipping on a cold soda or snacking on a creamy piece of cheese, you probably don’t really think about what went into making your food or beverage. Maybe, you already know because you saw a random episode of ‘How its Made’ on TV discussing ultrafiltration uses in the beverage industry while your were channel surfing on a lazy afternoon. Either way, aside from the automated production line machines, one of the most important things that goes into the making of any soda, juice, wheel of cheese, or gallon of milk is water. Producing beverages and dairy products use substantial amounts of water in their production processes.

4 Benefits Of Electrocoagulation For Beverage Food Wastewater Treatment
2/1/2021
With a global population of over seven billion people, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of companies in the world that produce the food and beverages that are needed to meet this global demand. These companies require massive amounts of water to produce their products, and those products result in equal amounts of wastewater. It’s simple enough to just discharge the wastewater into a nearby stream or surface water source and be finished with it. However, with constantly changing environmental regulations and pressure to be more environmentally conscious, food and beverage companies face increasing requirements of beverage and food wastewater treatment.

Benefits Of Electrocoagulation For Meat Processing Companies
2/1/2021
While vegetarianism and veganism have both grown in popularity in the past decade, vegans and vegetarians combined are vastly outnumbered by people that love meat. In a country like the United States, where we have hot dog eating contests and food eating challenges, this country consumes a lot of meat of all types. Therefore, meat processing water treatment is required to package and process these foods within the US and across the world.
