Veolia Water Technologies Holds Workshop With Leading Food & Beverage Companies On Improving Water Resource Management

Veolia Water Technologies, a global leader in water and wastewater treatment, hosted an educational workshop on May 23, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. The purpose of the event was to support the food and beverage manufacturing community by educating attendees on technologies and strategies to help them achieve their water and sustainability goals.

Water is a critical component to the success for food and beverage companies. This creates several challenges to ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and operational efficiency. In response to these unique challenges, Veolia hosted a comprehensive educational workshop that details how water can be best managed at food and beverage facilities.

Attendees from leading food and beverage companies were able to interact with water and wastewater professionals on a variety of topics, such as water reuse, regulatory compliance, reducing sewage discharge fees, improving operational efficiency, and achieving sustainability goals.

“It’s our hope that the food and beverage professionals who attended this educational event will be able to take the information they learned and transform it into action at their facilities,” says Mette Friis-Andersen, Marketing & Communications Director, North America. She adds, “It is vital that food and beverage companies continually identify ways to improve how they manage water and reduce their overall water footprint.”

These educational workshops are part of Veolia’s commitment to help industries enhance their relationship with water and reduce their overall environmental impact. Veolia Water Technologies holds similar educational events in the United States and Canada for professionals from the Oil & Gas, Mining, and Power markets.
