Grants range from $25,000 to $100,000
Through WaterStart and the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED), the State of Nevada is now accepting proposals from tech companies around the world with timely, collaborative and unique applications on how Nevada can advance water technology development. As part of Round 11 of a competitive matching grant process, individual grants range from $25,000 to $100,000.

- Water consumption metering
- Unaccounted for water monitoring
- Water loss detection
- On-line nitrification control management for chloraminated systems
- In-network drinking water disinfection by-product monitoring
- Reduction of in-situ disinfection byproduct formation for groundwater recharge applications
- Water quality pressure management in distribution systems
- Portable pressure monitoring with 'polling capability' (dual feedback)
- Online cleaning of reservoirs/tanks
- Piping materials that withstand hot water and chlorine
- Efficient location detection of sewer blockages
- Tools that link asset management data to investment decisions
- Platforms for managing critical incidents, emergencies and crises
- Environmental reporting platform for increasing awareness of interested stakeholders

This RFP announcement coincides with the Governor's trade mission to South Africa. WaterStart is joining Governor Brian Sandoval this week to meet with water resource managers and solution providers tasked with solving Cape Town's water challenges.
The State of Nevada continues to promote its commitment to innovation in water technology through WaterStart and GOED, providing funding on a competitive basis to support economic development, foster job creation and attract private investment in Nevada. Through this commercialization fund, WaterStart delivers accelerated growth pathways for pre-revenue leading technology firms, as well as a gateway for post-revenue organizations to expand their access to customers with the goal of bringing concepts to the market. Grants made through the program are designed to leverage existing regional assets and support the implementation of water technology solutions for communities.
