The City of Wilmington, Delaware is situated where the Christina River and the Brandywine Creek flow into the Delaware River. In order to maintain the historic value of the Brandywine WTP building, the upgrade of water plant needed to retrofit into the mixed media filter basins and meet the stringent drinking water standards. Furthermore, the facility previously experienced significant turbidity occurrences due to heavy rainfall.
