Process And Water Chosen To Supply Industrial Wastewater And Recycling System For Manufacturer Of Aircraft Components In Eastern Europe

Process and Water exports system that uses innovative membrane technology to help customer meet Airbus’ stringent manufacturing process and environmental impact requirements

East Bridgewater, MA (PRWEB) - Process and Water, a leading manufacturer and designer of advanced water purification, filtration and chemical treatment systems, today announced that it has completed manufacturing and has shipped an industrial wastewater and recycling system as part of a larger system for a Universal Alloy Corporation manufacturing plant in Romania. Universal Alloy is a global leader in the manufacture of aerospace products. At its plant in Romania, the company produces machined aluminum parts for use in aircraft produced by Airbus and other manufacturers.

For this Universal Alloys plant, Process and Water engineered, built, and exported a fully fabricated, manufacturing rinse water recycling system. The sophisticated new system meets not only challenging European Union environmental standards for this type of manufacturing, but also the exacting process specifications required by Airbus.

“We needed a high-performance system to meet UAC’s needs and the Airbus specifications, but also one that was exportable per the European Union’s high environmental standards. The Process and Water team was able to design and build exactly what we needed,” said Steven Black, Senior Project Manager for UAC. “Innovation, flexibility and reliability in industrial wastewater recycling systems – that’s what Process and Water delivers for us and our customers.”

The custom Process and Water system uses a range of technologies to achieve multiple purposes in handling the plant’s wastewater flows. Capabilities built into the system include an innovative microfiltration membrane technology for heavy metal removal (wastewater reduction), brackish reverse osmosis, high-purity reverse osmosis, two-bed deionization, ultraviolet disinfection and proper variable frequency to drive product water distribution to use points in various phases of the facility’s manufacturing processes.

“The simple fact that we designed and built this system right here in Massachusetts, and deployed it halfway around the word, shows that innovation can unlock great new business opportunities in worldwide markets,” said Process and Water CEO Tom Belmont. “Our experience is contrary to the commonly held view that exporting is dead for small- and mid-sized U.S. manufacturers. In our view, when you build enough innovation into your products, customers will want them, regardless of where those customers are located.”
