Federal law mandates low-lead brass in 2014, but come July 1, 2012, ANSI/NSF 61 Annex F takes effect, lowering lead TAC to 5 ppb. Some brass now ANSI/NSF 61-certified might not comply. Deplete existing 85-5-5-5 brass stocks and replace them with low-lead. Add "N" to virtually any Mueller® brass catalog number for low-lead.
