MWRD Executive Director Resigns

Effective June 27, 2018, David St. Pierre has resigned as Executive Director of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD).

Mr. St. Pierre joined MWRD on June 20, 2011 and served diligently for seven years, overseeing a staff of approximately 2,000 employees, an annual budget of $1.2B dollars, and wastewater infrastructure that serves the equivalent of 10 million residents. Together, we have made great strides in our mission to provide wastewater treatment and stormwater protection to the people of Cook County, and we are proud of the work we have accomplished during Mr. St. Pierre's tenure.

"It has been an honor to serve as your Executive Director.  The MWRD staff is the best I have had the privilege of serving. Together, we have seen tremendous improvements in water quality and protected thousands of residents from flooding. I appreciate the tremendous support of the Board of Commissioners and trust MWRD will continue in the great tradition of service that has been established since 1889. I wish everyone the best. My experience will always remain as some of the best seven years of my life."
