MICRODYN-NADIR To Unveil Open Design Of MICRODYN BIO-CEL Module L At IFAT 2018

BIO-CEL MBR

MICRODYN-NADIR, a global leader in the membrane industry, continues to innovate and expand its impressive range of filtration products.

The MICRODYN BIO-CEL MBR product line offers water and wastewater treatment solutions to keep up with strict government regulations without having to invest in major construction and infrastructure upgrades.

As conventional wastewater treatment facilities begin to reach the end of their useful life, MBR technology is the obvious choice for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. BIO-CEL creates a cleaner, higher quality effluent and are a fraction of the size of conventional wastewater treatment systems. In some cases, BIO-CEL MBR systems and can reduce plant size by up to 50 percent.

BIO-CEL MBR has a smaller overall footprint, saving space that other conventional wastewater treatment systems require. BIO-CEL is already the best solution on the market and now with MICRODYN-NADIR’s newest module, BIO-CEL is the easiest to clean and maintain.

The new MICRODYN BIO-CEL L module offers 360-degree access, which make the membrane system easier to clean and maintain. Thanks to this new design, MICRODYN BIO-CEL L module will have longer lasting life and performance that won’t diminish over time. This open access design is the first for MICRODYN BIO-CEL – another way MICRODYN-NADIR is changing the way customers treat their water and wastewater.

Easier maintenance, stability, and reliability are what sets apart MICRODYN BIO-CEL L and MICRODYN-NADIR from our competitors.

OVIVO bills their company as the worldwide experts in water treatment. To satisfy this reputation, OVIVO uses MICRODYN-NADIR’S BIO-CEL modules in their OVIVO MBR systems.

Dennis Livingston, Director of MBR Systems for OVIVO says of the new open-side BIO-CEL module, “No other module can be serviced as easily as the BIO-CEL module in the event of system upsets, screen bypass or other similar types of events that do happen at MBR facilities. Even in the worst-case situation, the BIO-CEL can be quickly recovered in-situ (in the tank) whereas competing technologies must be taken out and physically cleaned in a labor intensive, sometimes dangerous process.”

Maintaining the BIO-CEL module will be easier and safer for operators than ever before. For OVIVO, the new design of BIO-CEL meets and exceeds all of their lofty expectations.

“BIO-CEL combines the best elements of flat-plate technology and hollow fiber designs in terms of efficiency and robustness. At one of our most recent flat-plate upgrades, the customer has reported a 50% decrease in energy bills and that kind of result speaks for itself,” Livingston says.

But, OVIVO is not the only company that is choosing BIO-CEL MBR for their systems.

ENVI-PUR is an environmental engineering company that designs and builds water and wastewater plants.

“As a manufacturing expert for flexible wastewater treatment solutions, we want to provide our customers’ MBR systems with the best possible reliability,” says Daniel Vilím, Head of Technology at ENVI-PUR. “With its open design, the new BIO-CEL L will have the best cleaning capabilities. This will mean minimal maintenance effort and downtime for our customers.”

BIO-CEL MBR is proudly produced in Wiesbaden, Germany as well as in MICRODYN-NADIR's new, 27,000-square-foot facility in Austin, Texas. The automated plant will provide customers an unparalleled level of service and quality. The state-of-the-art facility is set to open on May 3.

MICRODYN BIO-CEL L is the latest innovation to come from MICRODYN-NADIR with more on the horizon. MICRODYN-NADIR has the products, passion and expertise to meet all our customer’s water and process needs.

MICRODYN-NADIR will be exhibiting at IFAT, the World's Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Materials Management, May 14-18 in Munich, Germany. Come see the new BIO-CEL L module on display at Hall A2, booth 227. The new BIO-CEL will also be on display at ACHEMA in Frankfurt, Germany, from June 11-15. Visit us at Hall 4.0, booth J15.
