ABB’s Measurement Products’ business announces an economical magnetic liquid level gauge specifically designed for OEM, commercial, and light industrial storage tanks. Called the ECONOLEV LMG100 liquid level gauge, it provides an inexpensive alternative to traditional exposed glass level gauges. Suggested applications include diesel storage tanks, OEM tanks, water treatment tanks, agricultural chemicals, and most other small tanks for liquids.

According to Winston Landy more, Level Instrumentation Product Manager for ABB K-TEK, “The New ECONOLEV LMG100 gauge offers a cost effective, armored liquid level gauge solution that fills a market niche and can be shipped to customers within 10 days of receipt of order.”

The gauge has a simple, standard configuration for low cost. It consists of an all-stainless steel chamber, a magnetic float with an orange, magnetic shuttle indicator. The shuttle rides in a clear Lexan tube alongside a stainless steel scale. The gauge is rated to 275 PSI at 200°F and has 1-inch FNPT side process connections. Maximum measuring length is 15 feet.

Options include 316SS threaded end caps, magnetically actuated level switches, and a magnetostrictive level transmitter. The AT600 transmitter can be mounted directly to the gauge to allow continuous level measurement transmission via a 4-20 mA signal.

The ABB K-TEK level line has the proven technology to provide solutions for the most difficult liquids and solids level application
