Accurel® Polypropylene Membrane Fibers – Superior Permeability Accurel PP hollow fiber membranes feature a symmetric pore structure and high specific surface area. This in combination with the excellent low adsorption characteristic of the pure polypropylene polymer, supports Accurel PP membranes as a reliable and economical alternative to conventional separation procedures used in beverage clarification today. Moreover they provide superior filtration performance when compared to other membranes based on polyarylsulfone.
3M manufactures a dedicated membrane portfolio based on polypropylene to provide the required performance in the various beverage clarification processes. With different nominal pore-sizes and inner diameters, 3M can build tailor made beverage filtration modules for specific end uses and applications. Since polypropylene membranes are hydrophobic by nature, all 3M Liqui-Flux microfiltration membrane modules are delivered hydrophilized for immediate use.
