Gold Coast Water Services Implement TaKaDu To Boost Network Efficiency

TaKaDu’s event management solution will be incorporated into the Queensland utility to optimise its operations

TaKaDu, a global leader in Integrated Event Management solutions for the water industry, announced recently that Gold Coast Australia, covering an area of around 3,300km in South East Queensland, is incorporating TaKaDu’s solution into its network to increase operational efficiency and reduce water loss. TaKaDu will enable Gold Coast’s water services to optimise the use of data collected from different sources. Gold Coast is the third utility in Queensland deploying TaKaDu.

TaKaDu is being integrated as part of a strategic move by Gold Coast to invest in its water distribution network, including increasing the number of DMAs (district metered areas) and the introduction of a new SCADA system.

With TaKaDu, we’re able to know about events, measure how much water is being used, manage and resolve incidents, such as leaks, more efficiently, and improve network performance on an areas basis.”
