ENRGISTX Announces Innovative Energy Saving Solutions For Existing Power Plants Based On Shuangliang Eco-Energy's Industry Leading Absorption Chiller

ENRGISTX and Shuangliang Eco-Energy Deliver Inlet Air Cooling Solutions for New and Existing Power Plants located in arid and humid climates, reducing carbon emissions, improving efficiency, and increasing generating output by up to 40%

(PRWEB) - Natural gas fired power plants, new or old, often operate at temperatures and altitudes above what are termed ISO conditions, 59°F and 60% humidity. As a result of these hot and humid conditions, the turbine generators used in these power plants lose a significant amount of the electric generating capacity potential of the plant.

Operating power plants above sea level dramatically adds to this degradation of power output by 3.3-3.6% for each 1,000 feet in elevation.

This results in lower revenue, lower profits, and higher carbon emissions for most of the turbine generator based power plants worldwide.

Turbine Inlet Air Cooling (TIAC) is a solution to this condition, and its benefits are well proven.

The TIAC solution cools the air entering the gas turbine, which increases air density and restores the power output to ISO specific performance, thereby improving operating efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.

ENRGISTX and Shuangliang Eco-Energy, provide a solution for cooling the turbine inlet air. Using the waste heat from the turbine exhaust (which normally is discarded into the atmosphere) the absorption chiller converts this waste heat into “free cooling” for the turbine inlet air.

Energy solution integrators, such as STELLAR Energy (http://www.stellar-energy.net/), combine the absorption chiller with other components, such as coils, ducting, cooling towers, pumps and control systems into a turn-key solution, delivering compelling return on investment and reduced carbon emissions.

Shuangliang Eco-Energy, with over 25,000 absorption chillers installed worldwide, has numerous installations for the TIAC application. Two recent case studies include:

Absormex, Altamira Mexico –

  • Solar Turbines Titan 250 generator
  • Shuangliang Eco-Energy Absorption Chiller – 1,000 Tons
  • Inlet air temperature reduced from an average of 95°F to 59°F
  • RESULT: 17.9MW to 22.4MW - 25% increase in generating capacity

ArAr Power Plant, Saudi Arabia –

  • (2) GE 7001EA generators
  • (2) Shuangliang Eco-Energy Absorption Chillers – 4,000 Tons total
  • Inlet air temperature reduced from an average of 120°F to 59°F
  • RESULT: 55MW to 78MW - 42% increase in generating capacity

ENRGISTX is the US distributor for Shuangliang Eco-Energy, and partners with energy systems integrators and engineering contractors to provide innovative solutions for turbine inlet air cooling, Combined Cooling Heating and Power, industrial cooling, and food process cooling applications.
