Global Water Treatment Industry Recognizes Desalitech’s Emerging Leadership
Desalitech was named the winner of the 2016 Global Water Award for Breakthrough Water Technology Company of the Year. The award, announced by Global Water Intelligence (GWI) at their 2016 Summit meeting in Abu Dhabi, was presented by Felipe Calderón, former President of Mexico (2006 - 2012) and Chairman of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate.
Desalitech’s groundbreaking ReFlex reverse osmosis systems have attracted major clients and partnerships among Fortune 500 companies such as Coca-Cola, Southern California Edison, Novelis and Pall who are moving away from inefficient and less reliable traditional reverse osmosis systems. The GWI award acknowledges Desalitech’s emerging leadership in the water treatment and water reuse industry.
“The biggest challenge for a startup company is crossing the proverbial valley of death - taking a technology that works and turning it into something that sells. This award, which is a new category for Global Water, recognizes Desalitech’s emergence as a successful water treatment business,” said Rick Stover, Executive Vice President of Desalitech. “We thank our customers, especially our early adopters, our investors and the GWI voters.”
Desalitech’s ReFlex reverse osmosis systems operate at guaranteed maximum recovery rates, reducing wastewater by 50 to 75 percent and energy consumption by up to 35 percent, resulting in significant operating cost savings.
Desalitech’s ReFlex Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems are rapidly replacing traditional RO as the standard for water purification. Fortune 500 companies around the world rely on the consistent performance and ease of operation of their ReFlex RO solutions, saving significant costs through maximum water recovery rates, lower energy consumption and reduced maintenance. Desalitech is proud to be headquartered in Newton, MA and manufactures in the USA. For more information, visit www.desalitech.com.
