Covered Storage Tank For City Water Supply

Project Background:
The City of Grain Valley, Missouri, a community located on the Eastern edge of the Greater Kansas City area, has experienced impressive growth over recent years. The population has doubled — to 9,000 residents — which stressed the existing water supply.

To meet growing demand, the City erected a 774,000-gallon bolted steel water storage tank from Columbian TecTank. With this particular project, timing was critical because the Kansas City Metropolitan area was in the midst of a severe drought. The tank installation was completed in two weeks.
