Neptune Benson’s ETS-UV Disinfection system addresses space constraints by utilizing a concrete vault underground.
Neptune Benson, a leading manufacturer of commercial filtration systems, ETS- UV disinfection systems and accessories, effectively disinfects the wastewater for Eden Isle just west of Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Eden Isle is a residential subdivision located on a peninsula on the Greer’s Ferry Lake. There were many challenges to treat wastewater for this site. Eden Isle is primarily a summer destination. Due to the seasonal vacancies, the flow rates vary throughout the year. The Eden Isle system experiences high inflows during periods of rain. Because this is a residential neighborhood, space was at a premium. Space constraints were addressed by installing a concrete vault underground.
“We like how compact the systems are” comments Jimmy Schuler, of Eden Isle WWTP.
The selection of the Neptune Benson ETS-UV was made after researching various types of wastewater treatment systems. The ultraviolet disinfection system was selected because of its ability to meet the effluent fecal permit levels as well as to remove chlorine onsite.
UV disinfection is known as the single most effective treatment against bacteria, viruses and Cryptosporidium, a microscopic parasite that causes gastrointestinal illness All ETS-UV systems are made in the USA.
