CCD Technology Succeeds With Well Water Purification
The Kittansett Golf Club in Marion, Massachusetts is rated one of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses by Golf Digest Magazine. Wells that have historically supplied essential irrigation water for the course during the summer and fall are being impacted by accelerating seawater intrusion, causing browning of trees and grass. The high variability of the well’s salinity-from 1,000 to 10,000 parts per million dissolved solids- cannot be handled by conventional reverse osmosis systems.
A Desalitech Brackish Water CCD™ Reverse Osmosis unit was installed to treat 100 gallons per minute of well water. The unit is designed to handle the full range of well water salinity, automatically adapting to variations. It provides maximum water utilization, producing over 90 gallons of purfilied water from every 100 gallons it is fed, thereby minimizing well withdrawals and reject flow.
