About Us

Flint & Walling was established in 1866, making it one of the oldest water system manufacturers in the United States. Originally, the company built hand-operated water pumps and then windmills, which were sold throughout the United States as well as Asia, Europe and South America under the brand names of Hoosier, Star and Marina.

Not only did Flint and Walling survive the Great Depression, but they also answered the call to arms in several ways during the second World War. In fact, the Department of Navy awarded the company the Navy "E" Award for Excellence.

As the demand for water grew, Flint & Walling continued to expand its product line to include a full range of jet pumps, centrifugal pumps and sump pumps. During the 1950's this growth included submersible pumps and water conditioning equipment. As the only United States pump company to manufacture its own 50 Hz and 60 Hz electric motors for jet and centrifugal pumps, Flint & Walling has become known for superior quality and highly efficient products.

The year 2000 and beyond promise an even greater consumer demand for high quality, conditioned water system products. Flint & Walling continues to expand into water filtration, industrial centrifugal pumps, constant pressure systems and sump & sewage pumps.

With our resources, technology and total commitment, Flint & Walling will continue being the leader in innovation. Whether you need pumps or water treatment equipment, with Flint & Walling you can be assured that you are receiving the best best value for your money.
