Traces of organic contaminants, pesticides, biocides or pharmaceuticals are often found in drinking and wastewater. If absorbed via drinking water sources or through the food chain, there are inherent risks for the health and genetic inheritance of human beings and animals alike. Biological wastewater treatment is no longer sufficient to guarantee complete removal of these contaminants.

Ozone oxidation and Advanced Oxidation Processes are well-suited to eliminate these pollutants. As a potent oxidation agent, ozone alone can sometimes be used for removal of pharmaceuticals and taste and odor compounds. However, we can use our core technologies to form the hydroxyl radical (·OH radical), which is a more powerful oxidizing agent than ozone alone.
