ITT's award winning PumpSmart® intelligent flow system significantly reduces life cycle costs of process pumping. PumpSmart is an advanced technology system that works with any centrifugal pump utilizing a smart VFD controller and our proprietary control software.
PumpSmart will provide:
- Significantly Lower Energy Costs. Utilizing a smart VFD to tailor pump output to the exact system requirements, dramatically lowers energy consumption. A typical 75 HP (56Kw) pump installation will save over $15,000 (US) annually.
- Sensorless Flow Measurement. With out any sensors, PumpSmart can derive the flow of the pump within ± 5% of the rated pump flow. With only four pieces of pump performance data required PumpSmart is able to calculate the flow of the pump by comparing the pump power and flow performance curves. SmartFlow™ can be used on any manufacturer's centrifugal pump and a self calibration function allows for correction due to pump wear.
- Enhanced Reliability through Failure Prevention. Exclusive fault tolerance protects your pump from the most common causes of failure; closed valves, dry running, cavitation, and low flow, by preventing the pump from operating under these conditions. Significant increases in reliability (MTBF) are achieved, reducing maintenance costs and maximizing plant uptime.
