Marsh-McBirney, Inc. has introduced an updated version of their original Flo-Tote Portable Flowmeter that is primarily used to measure flow in sewer applications, as well as in various open channel situations. New features of the Flo-Tote II include: a more robust sensor that virtually eliminates fouling; an Auto-Cal feature that eliminates the need for site calibration in most cases; a Q-Stick band/sensor insertion tool for no-manhole-entry installations; an ATC Level arrangement that compensates for variations in temperature; wide sensor installation bands for increased accuracy in debris laden flows; and the Tele-Cap feature that allows for telemetry/a-c/solar operation. Certified intrinsically safe versions are available also. Data retrieval is accomplished via a laptop computer that operates with Flo-Ware software packages.
