Pipeline Flash Reactors™ (PFRs or spool pieces) have dual applications. They are used in municipal water treatment plants to transfer ozone into the water stream for water purification. In wastewater applications, PFRs are used in new plant designs to reduce size and cost of downstream contact basins. In retrofitting an existing wastewater system, they replace fine bubble diffusion systems to increase basin CT credits and eliminate repair and maintenance costs associated with diffusion stones.
