FILTRASORB® 400 is a high activity activated carbon used for water and wastewater treatment applications. This product is manufactured from select grades of bituminous coal, which is pulverized, reagglomerated with a suitable binder, activated and screened to a 12x40 U.S. Sieve particle size distribution. The Filtrasorb 400 is manufactured to higher adsorptive specifications than the Filtrasorb 200. Filtrasorb 400 is a widely used product in a variety of water treat for the removal of dissolved organic compounds and taste & odor. This product complies with the applicable provisions of AWWA Standard for Granular Activated Carbon, edition B604-96, the stringent extractable requirements of ANSI/NSF Standard 61 and the Food Chemical Codex (Spec/Product Bulletin) (MSDS).
