PAX Water Technologies, Inc. a subsidiary of PAX Scientific, Inc., has obtained an exclusive worldwide license to patented PAX Technology in the broad field of water and wastewater treatment, one of the world's most energy critical industries. PAX Water will develop, markets and distribute equipment incorporating PAX Technology for the global water market.
PAX Technology takes advantage of a fundamental observation that the underlying shape of all natural fluid flow has a common mathematical basis. In fact, on every scale and size in the universe, natural flows of fluids, gases and heat resistance to geometries which represent the 'path of least resistance to friction', and minimize energy loss. These natural system geometries and efficiencies can be applied to industrial systems to overcome friction, reduce drag, minimize cavitation and create a streamlined flow for equipment such as fans, mixers, propellers, turbines and pumps.
PAX Water's first product, a highly effective mixer for potable water storage tanks, was designed by combining this new design approach with state-of-the-art engineering, computational fluid dynamics and rigorous testing. For the first time, a device as small as the PAX Water Mixer can effectively mix volumes of 7 million gallons and more using a fraction of the energy of conventional technologies.
The company is currently developing other applications to improve efficiency and process efficacy within the water and wastewater industries.
