How Do LAKOS Separators Work?

LAKOS manufactures many types of separators, each designed for a unique purpose and application. However, each and every LAKOS separator utilizes a similar design at its core (illustrated in animation below), with additional features added for specific applications.

Optional Features:

Vortube-enhanced separators: For some applications requiring the removal of very fine particles (Cooling Tower cleaning, for example), a special patented tube is installed either internally or externally to the separator. Click on the button in the animation above for more details.
Solids-Handling devices: After solids are removed from the liquid, what do you want to do with them? LAKOS offers several options, including Solids Recovery Vessels and different types of Automated Purge Valves. Click on the button in the animation above for more details.
Packaged Systems: For installation speed, convenience, and efficiency, packaged systems are configured by LAKOS which consist of a separator and supporting components assembled on a steel skid.
PLUS Systems: To remove ultra-fine particles from mission-critical applications, packaged systems utilizing both a separator and a traditional bag filter component are available. The TowerCleanPLUS system is specifically designed for full-stream installation in Cooling Tower loops and SideStreamCleanPLUS systems are designed for side-stream installations.
