ITT Fluid Technology brings its product and services portfolio to market through three market-oriented business units:
Water and Wastewater
ITT’s Water & Wastewater value center provides a complete offering to municipal and industrial wastewater transport and treatment customers including a full range of wastewater and dewatering pumps, secondary biologic treatment, filtration and disinfection products.
ITT is the originator and largest manufacturer of submersible pumps and mixers that form the heart of many of the world’s wastewater treatment facilities. As a leader in biological treatment systems for municipal and industrial wastewater, ITT’s offerings include aeration and diffuser systems, Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR) and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) systems.
ITT also provides rapid gravity media filtration, tertiary filtration and denitrification systems for wastewater as well as ultraviolet (UV) and ozone oxidation systems for disinfection. For a wide range of municipal and industrial applications ITT provides a wide range of advanced RO, UF and MF membrane filtration systems.
ITT’s brands serving water and wastewater markets include Flygt, Sanitaire, ABJ, Leopold and WEDECO.
Industrial Process
ITT’s Industrial Process value center brings to market the most complete portfolio of pumps, valves and control systems for industrial markets including chemical, water and wastewater, pulp & paper, hydrocarbon processing, power generation, mining, and niche industrial applications.
The industrial pump range from ITT includes ANSI and ISO process, split-case, self-priming centrifugal, multistage, slurry, and vertical turbines capable of handling a wide range of fluids including high temperature, abrasive, corrosive, and entrained solids. ITT’s portfolio of valves serve industrial markets with ball, plastic lined, safety shut-off, knife gate, slurry, slide gate, wedge gate, butterfly, recycle/reject and actuated valves. For the demanding BioPharm markets, ITT offers an array of hygienic valves and turnkey systems. ITT’s industrial pump products are paired with desalination “watermakers” for the offshore drilling and production as well as a range of heat exchangers for industrial applications.
ITT’s brands serving industrial markets include Goulds Pumps, Fabri-Valve, Dia-Flo, Cam-Tite Cam-Line, C’treat, Standard and Pure-Flo.
Residential and Commercial Water
ITT’s Residential & Commercial Water value center manufactures and markets pumps, systems and accessories for residential, municipal and commercial applications including water, wells, HVAC systems, pressure boosters, boiler controls and fire protection.
For the residential well, effluent and sewage pumps markets, ITT products are market leaders. For the building trades market, ITT provides a broad variety of pressure boosting pumps, fire pump packages and products / systems for HVAC service, building service and utility applications including liquid-based heating and air conditioning systems and products for boiler and steam systems. ITT membrane filtration systems from provide clean water for municipalities and customers requiring pure and/or desalinated water. For turf irrigation, municipal systems, golf courses and irrigation applications, ITT provides packaged pump systems.
ITT’s brands serving Residential and Commercial Water markets include Goulds Pumps, Lowara, Bell & Gossett, McDonnell & Miller, Vogel, A-C Fire Pump and Flowtronex.
A Leader in Solutions for our Planet’s “Cycle of Water”
The one place to truly appreciate the range of fluid handling products and systems from ITT is in the “Cycle of Water”.
Clean Water Solutions from ITT: Pump systems from ITT draw water from the ground and from lakes, rivers and seas. From there, membrane filtration systems treat and desalinate it and UV, ozone and chlorine dosing systems disinfect it, making it fit for use. ITT pump systems move water to and from treatment plants, to storage facilities and on through the distribution system to industrial, commercial, municipal and residential consumers. Inside those buildings, homes and factories, ITT pump packages equipped with intelligent control systems move water to heat and cool buildings. ITT’s packaged fire pump systems stand ready to power water for emergency use, provide utility service and power thousands of industrial applications. And for those homes, farms and industrial applications off the distribution grid, ITT’s wide range of submersible and turbine pumps supply water from underground wells.
Wastewater Solutions from ITT: Once the water has served its human purpose, effluent stations equipped with ITT pumps and mixers collect and move wastewater to treatment facilities where submersible pumps, mixers, and monitoring and control systems form the heart of wastewater treatment plants. As the water moves through the wastewater process, ITT aeration and sequence batch reactor systems provide advanced biological treatment and ITT’s media filtration systems provide tertiary treatment. Before the treated water is returned to nature, ITT’s UV, ozone and chlorine dosing systems are used again for disinfection.
Improving Plant Profitability
Optimizing pump life cycle performance provides a path to help reduce plant-operating cost and has the potential to achieve 30% to 70% improvements in energy and maintenance cost, while improving both pump and process reliability. Leveraging 150+ years in process machinery design, manufacture, and operation, ITT’s Monitoring and Control solutions have one goal - Improving plant profitability.
ITT has products and services that target important issues of process uptime, maintenance, and energy costs.
ITT’s ProSmart™ systems provide continuous, predictive monitoring for all rotating equipment at an exceptionally low price. With ProSmart, the focus of a Predictive Maintenance Program (PdM) can change from data collection to analysis and improvement activities. In addition, by continuously monitoring plant equipment, ProSmart can proactively warn of on-setting machinery problems.
PumpSmart® pump control systems provide real-time control and protection for centrifugal pumps while also providing valuable process insight. By protecting against unplanned pump failure due to process upsets, PumpSmart can keep plant process running longer and eliminate unplanned repair activities. By right-sizing pumps, PumpSmart can help reduce not only energy consumption, but also wear and tear on a process system.
Reducing Pump Energy Consumption is High Priority for ITT
Energy consumption is a huge concern in every marketplace served by pumps. Because pumps are especially intertwined with water use, lowering energy costs has become a guiding priority for ITT engineers. ITT’s new generation of vertical turbine pumps for the residential and commercial water markets vividly illustrates that point. The pump’s two percent boost in base efficiency translates into a very significant 10 percent reduction in lifecycle costs for the customer. The N-pump, designed for wastewater applications, reflects similar synergies, using 20 to 30 percent less energy and lowering life-long maintenance costs. As energy conservation measures become critical to customer’s operations, ITT’s smart pumping systems such as the Hydrovar™ frequency inverter control system provide microprocessor control of any centrifugal pump, reducing energy exposure.
The comprehensive lifecycle assessment associated with ITT’s focus on reducing pump energy exposure minimizes every aspect of its environmental impact, both internally and at the customer site.
