IPEC Consultants Ltd., a privately-owned Canadian company, has been designing and manufacturing quality wastewater treatment equipment since 1979. The sturdy, low-maintenance equipment is widely accepted for effective, economical treatment of process and wastewater streams.
For nearly 30 years, IPEC screening equipment has been used for liquid/solid separation in the meat, poultry, fish, vegetable, and pulp & paper industries. Now, IPEC's growing municipal market uses IPEC screens for primary, fine, and scum screening applications, as well as for sludge thickening.
Over the past 10 years, IPEC has added in-channel screens, grit classifiers, screw conveyors and conveyor/compactor units to its product line. The engineering and design department is available to assist with wastewater screening solutions as environmental regulations become more stringent.

For pretreatment of municipal and industrial effluent, IPEC Industries offers its proven IFU/PLT combination. The IFU internally-fed, rotary fine screen removes all particles larger than the target size; the PLT auger/compactor (with bagger option) washes, conveys, compacts and bags the captured solids. Solidly constructed in stainless steel, this equipment combination unit delivers trouble-free and hygienic operation of one of industry’s most dirty jobs.
More and more, municipal and industrial operations are using membrane technology in wastewater treatment to achieve more consistent, higher quality effluents. Membranes frequently require protection from oversize trash solids that can clog or damage fiber elements. IPEC equipment used for preliminary fine screening of the wastewater flow provides simple and effective membrane protection. Plus, removing the oversize, mostly non-biodegradable solids produces higher quality sludge and minimizes expensive maintenance requirements for the bio-reactors.
IPEC's screening/compacting equipment combination integrates well into force main sewage systems and is especially popular in plants handling up to 5 million gallons per day.
