New High Volume Constant Chlor® System Fills The Need
Arch Chemicals, Inc. has introduced a new generation Constant Chlor® Plus briquette feed system that provides quadruple the capacity of its first generation system, plus new capabilities and features that further enhance operation, maintenance and safety.
“Calcium hypochlorite systems must have capacity to quickly produce a continuous supply of hypochlorite disinfection solution during peak demand periods,” says Arch Product Manager Dave Blanchette. “Meeting this need, plus the growing demand for effective calcium hypochlorite use in water and wastewater treatment applications requiring higher feed rate capacities, were the two primary reasons for designing our new system.”
High Capacity Feed System
Blanchette says the new Arch system retains all of the key features that made Constant Chlor® the system of choice for years, such as optimum solution consistency and a small footprint – but its loading and feed rate capacities are much higher, allowing for its effective service to larger treatment facilities. “Maintaining constant residual levels is even easier with our second generation system,” he says. “The system can provide up to 250 pounds per day AvCl, which means more than 10 pounds per hour of hypochlorite solution is available on demand, allowing for continuous dosing from the system’s dosing tank.”
