VTScada Opens Houston Office In To Meet Increased Demand In The Southern US

Trihedral is pleased to announce the opening of their new office in Houston, Texas, in response to sustained sales growth for VTScada software in the southern US. This is the latest move in Trihedral’s continuing sales strategy that recently included a new office in Calgary, Alberta, and the addition of Alan Hudson as the VTScada US Sales Manager based in Trussville, Alabama. Blair Sooley, BSEE, MBA, is now the Regional Account Manager for Texas. In addition to coordinating support and training for hundreds of VTScada integrators and end users in the gulf area, Blair will work with Alan Hudson to continue to expand the VTScada sales team in Texas.

Blair Sooley – 20 Years of Automation Experience
Sooley came to Trihedral in 2003 with a broad background in the automation industry. Since then, he has provided pre-sales support and account management for VTScada clients in industries such as water, power generation, oil and gas, marine, and broadcast. Now that he is based in Houston, he can focus his efforts on the southern US. “It’s the perfect time to establish a permanent presence here,” says Sooley. “Our growth in the area has been really exciting.”

Building on a Solid Foundation
“We have really stepped up our sales efforts in the area over the last five years through our Orlando office,” says Barry Baker, President of Trihedral, Inc. “This, plus all of Blair’s work this year, has brought us to the point where a Houston office was an obvious choice.” In Texas and surrounding states, there are nearly 300 water wastewater installations as well as over 100 oil and gas users in the Gulf of Mexico. Sooley has already seen a sharp increase since arriving in Texas. “We used to sign one or two new integrators a year. In the last two weeks alone I’ve had interest from five companies.” Blair has been impressed by how forward thinking local integrators have been. “They are really quick to see the potential of new technologies like integrated Application Version Control or Distributed Alarm Databases.”
