Veolia And Kazyna Capital Management Signed A Memorandum Of Understanding For A New Seawater Desalination Plant In Kazakhstan

Located in Aktau, this new plant with a capacity of 125,000 m3 per day will provide water to industrial sites and the population of Aktau and Zhanaozen, the two main cities in the Mangistau region, located on the coast of the Caspian Sea. This agreement follows a Veolia study conducted in collaboration with the center for public-private partnerships in Kazakhstan, on behalf of the Mangistau region and with the support of the French authorities in order to define a economic model for private sector participation in the development of a desalination project.
