Tsurumi Pumps Showcases A New Product Range At WEFTEC

Tsurumi Pumps

Tsurumi America will be exhibiting its products at the Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC), celebrating a long history at the show. For 2015, the event will be held in Chicago, Illinois, from September 28 – 30. Tsurumi will occupy booth #2484.

Tsurumi will be displaying a variety of its industry-leading pumps at the show, including its new FM Approved explosion proof pumps, which will enable the company to expand to new markets that require the strictest safety standards, such as municipal sewage and sanitation, among others.

Glenn Wieczorek, managing director of Tsurumi Americas, said the company’s attendance at WEFTEC was a great opportunity to connect with customers in person and an ideal time to feature the company’s new line of explosion proof pumps.

“We look forward to WEFTEC each year and are excited to celebrate another year at the event,” he said. “Our new line of explosion proof pumps represents Tsurumi’s expansion into new sectors and we couldn't think of a better venue than WEFTEC to unveil them directly to our customers.”

Beyond the new line of pumps, visitors to Tsurumi’s booth will also be able to view Tsurumi’s top-selling cutter pumps, sewage and wastewater pumps, portable submersible pumps and process line equipment. Demonstrations of its C-series Cutter Pumps and TRN-series aerators will be held at the company’s booth throughout the exhibition.

New line of explosion proof pumps
New X Series pumps will provide explosion proof versions of Tsurumi’s B, BZ, U and UZ series sewage and wastewater submersible pumps. Available in BYX, BZYX, UYX, and UZYX series, the pumps will expand Tsurumi’s product offering for applications that require a FM Approved pump, such as municipal sewage lift stations, landfills, industrial waste water cleaning and agricultural wastewater cleaning, among others. In total, 87 models will be added to the line.

Mike Klimes, application engineer at Tsurumi, said the company’s explosion proof pumps not only allow the company’s products to be used in additional industries, but that they also provide heightened safety for customers.

“The explosion proof pumps are designed to contain any spark that could ignite methane or other flammable gas in the ambient area surrounding the pump,” he explained. “Tsurumi is eager to offer the increased safety benefits to our customers and expand into FM Approval required applications.”

The first of the company’s FM Approved pumps, the explosion proof pumps will be available in freestanding, guide rail and dry pit applications. These submersible sewage and wastewater pumps are designed to meet the Class 1, Div 1, Group C&D explosion proof specs required for most municipal spec bids.

Product experts will be on hand at the company’s booth during WEFTEC to walk customers through the pumps’ features and safety benefits. The new pump range will be available in early 2016 through Tsurumi America’s sewage and wastewater distribution network.

Process Equipment
Tsurumi’s process equipment, including its own TRN Series, will also be a big feature at the company’s booth, with demonstrations throughout the event. Its aerators, ejectors and bar screens are backed by independent, third-party verification are known for their high quality. The process equipment is designed with engineers and operators in mind, minimizing the challenges they face in water supply recycling and preservation.

“WEFTEC is a premier event for Tsurumi as we continue to show our leadership in a number of pump categories, including process equipment,” said Wieczorek. “This range is a perfect solution to overcome existing system faults and improve wastewater treatment efficiencies.”

Representatives will be available at the Tsurumi booth to discuss products, both new and old, as well as Tsurumi’s robust distribution network and customer service. Wieczorek will be available for interviews at the booth on Wednesday, September 30.
