The National Association Of Water Companies Partners With GOVERNING For FutureStructure Summit 2013: Water, Waste & Energy
The National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) will partner with GOVERNING magazine as a sponsor of the FutureStructure Summit 2013: Water, Waste & Energy, to be held August 29, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois.
The inaugural FutureStructure Summit, "Cities as Systems," will highlight key topics that include the country’s aging water infrastructure and the energy-water nexus. Designed to bring industry professionals together with leaders from the political, business and regulatory sectors, the summit seeks to explore and discover sustainable approaches to water infrastructure challenges that cities and communities face in the 21st century.
“We are excited to join GOVERNING in providing this opportunity to discuss key infrastructure issues and innovative solutions surrounding water management in our cities and communities,” said Michael Deane, executive director of the NAWC. “The private sector has a critical role to play in addressing our nation's pressing infrastructure challenges. By partnering with NAWC’s member companies, municipalities can leverage the expertise and experience of private water companies to meet their local water needs,” he added.
