The Grand Unified Theory Of Probes
By Mark Spencer, President, Water Analytics
Scientists spend their lives searching for simplicity. Isaac Newton figured out that every object in the universe that is not too small or too fast moves under the incredibly simple formula, F=ma (Force = mass x acceleration). For Einstein, it wasn’t enough that his General Theory of Relativity explained how gravity bends space. He spent another 30 years trying merge the force of gravity with the force of electromagnetism. He called it the Unified Field Theory and he died without a solution. Today scientists are trying to merge these forces with the forces between elementary particles. The Theory of Everything, if it is ever solved, will be the most monumental accomplishment of physics.
