USEPA Method Update Rule
On May 18, 2012, the USEPA published a Final Rule in the Federal Register approving new methods for analysis of NPDES wastewater samples including gas diffusion methods for TKN and ammonia analysis. Gas diffusion at pH > 11 is now an approved alternate to manual distillation of TKN and ammonia samples. Gas diffusion lowers cost per analysis and improves lab productivity. Download white paper.

Wireless pH Monitoring Of Stormwater Runoff And Final Effluent
By Emerson Process Management, Rosemount Analytical
Wireless pH instrumentation is appropriate in several applications in the power industry. The principal benefit of a migration to wireless technology from more traditional copper cable is cost reduction. A wireless network requires none of the cable, conduit, or switching hardware which represents the largest expense in most plant networks.

The Everyman's Guide To ORP Measurement
By Mark Spencer, Aquametrix
Everyone in the water and wastewater industry knows and measures pH. Conductivity is a concept we all readily grasp. Dissolved oxygen and free chlorine are easy to understand since they refer to actual chemicals. But ORP is another matter. If you know that it stands for oxidation reduction potential, you are already in a select minority.
