Smith & Loveless Ships First PISTA®Works™ Headworks System

Smith & Loveless Inc. has shipped its first PISTA^®Works™ Headworks System, the latest innovation offering four headworks processes on one skid package.

The PISTA^®Works™ system, which shipped from S&L’s headquarters December 18th, will service a governmental training facility in Minden, LA. The pre-engineered, packaged, headworks system combines screening, grit removal and grit washing into one integrated system.

The complete PISTA^®Works™ system is pre-assembled and shipped direct to the job site on one truck, significantly reducing field installation costs while allowing for a compact footprint. All equipment components are constructed of stainless steel and utilize multiple patented technologies including world-class grit removal technologies PISTA^® 360™ with V-FORCE BAFFLE™, PISTA^® TURBO™ Grit Pump and the PISTA^® TURBO™ Grit Washer featuring TRI-CLEANSE TECHNOLOGY™.

Package components also include ANSI flanged connections, a 6 mm OBEX™ Spiral Fine Screen, manual bypass bar screen, two platforms for easy equipment access, and epoxy-coated carbon steel skid support for the complete system filled with grout. Additionally, the system comes with a PLC-based control system with touch screen, color HMI interface and NEMA 4X panel to operate the entire system.
