Sauereisen Corrosion Specialist To Lead Pittsburgh's NACE Chapter

Pittsburgh, PA — Luis F. Granes, Latin America Manager for Sauereisen, a third-generation manufacturer of corrosion-resistant materials, was recently appointed president of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Pittsburgh Chapter. NACE International is a leading trade association for the corrosion engineering and science community, and is recognized around the world as the premier authority for corrosion control solutions.

"NACE is a very well-respected organization among several industries dealing with corrosion prevention and control, from chemical processing and water systems to transportation and infrastructure protection," said Sauereisen president, Eric Sauereisen. Granes has been a NACE member since 1987. In addition to his new position as president, Granes is the acting chairman of the NACE Internet Corrosion NACE forum. He is also a founding member of the newly established Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) Three Rivers Chapter (Pittsburgh). A graduate of the Instituto Universitario de Nuevas Profesiones (I.U.N.P) in Caracas, Venezuela, Granes has been developing Sauereisen operations in Latin America since 1999.
